AFAC-NB's Commitment to Age-Friendly Communities

We strive to create awareness of the Age-Friendly Community initiative and highlight the importance of creating communities where people of all ages can thrive.
Our mission is to encourage and support communities across New Brunswick in achieving Age-Friendly Community recognition and to provide ongoing guidance to help them sustain that recognition over time.

Strengthens communities for everyone by fostering greater cohesion, inclusion, and connection across all ages.
Uses a proactive, preventative approach, working from the ground up to build awareness, encourage citizen ownership, and support meaningful community engagement.
Centres lived experience, ensuring older adults have a direct voice in identifying priorities and shaping solutions rather than having decisions made on their behalf.
AFAC-NB supports communities throughout the process, providing guidance and support on the journey toward becoming and maintaining status as an age-friendly community.
